Balanced Breakfast is a group of professionals in the music industry that discuss how we can help cultivate the local music scene and community…over delicious breakfast every Thursday morning. Over the course of September, they are holding a residency at Neck of the Woods, showcasing the Bay Area’s local talent in a wide array of genres.
Some featured artists include:
– San Francisco’s alternative indie pop group Dangermaker who is set to release their debut album September 9th via Breakup Records.
– Electro indie rock band Beautiful Machines (fans of Holy Ghost! will LOVE this group! Put on your dancing shoes…)
– R&B singer, songwriter, and producer Martin Luther McCoy, who has toured with Dave Matthews and Jill Scott, among others. He has also been a -featured member of The Roots.
– Singer Songwriter Kendra McKinley, whose calming, whimsical, and at times beautifully haunting voice is somewhat reminiscent of Sylvie Lewis
– Indie Jazz group The View from Bernal Hill whose EP We Are No Beautiful Children was released last December
– Jared Swanson of dream rock band Abbot Kinney, who’s sound is similar to Radiohead, Keane, and Travis, but with a heavier rock edge
– And many, MANY more!!!
Each of these shows is $10, but if you purchase the Month-Long pass, it’s $20. From now until the end of the month, there are sixteen artists total! All incredibly talented and worth seeing individually, let alone over these three nights!<br>
