Tyrone Griffin, Jr., better known by his stage name Ty Dolla $ign, is an American singer, rapper, and producer from Los Angeles, California. He is currently signed to Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Records and Atlantic Records.
Griffin released his mixtape, Beach House, in October of 2012 on Atlantic Records. The follow up mixtape, Beach House 2, was released the following year, which featured multiple well known artist including Too $hort, Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, and Kirko Bangz. The day after it was released Griffin signed to Taylor Gang Records. Two of the most popular singles off of the Beach House series of mixtapes were “My Cabana” and “Irie.”
The EP of, Beach House was released early this year, and featured guest appearances by Casey Veggies, Wiz Khalifa, Twista, Jay Rock, Trey Songz, French Montana, and Fredo Santana. The leading single was titled “Paranoid” which featured B.o.B.. The second single off of the EP was “Or Nah.” In May 2014, Griffin told The Fader that he would release a mixtape Sign Language sometime during the next few months, which will be followed up by his first debut studio album, Free TC.
