CMJ Music Marathon Announces 2014 Lineup Including Slowdive, The Kills, and Cold War Kids

This week CMJ announced the initial lineup for it’s annual music marathon. The New York City based event takes place from Oct. 21-25, 2014, and will feature 1,300+ artists performing in 80+ venues over the 4 days.

This year’s music marathon will feature a reunited Slowdive, Courtney Barnett, Protomatyr, the Kills, Matthew Dear, Gerard Way (ex-My Chemical Romance), Bombay Bicycle Club, Twin Peaks, Shonen Knife, Mt. Royal, Cold War Kids, Moon Duo, Kate Boy, Porches, Pro Era, Potty Mouth, White Fence, Celebration, Andrew Cedermark, the Wytches, Ballet School, Hunters, 2:54 and many more.

And, the organizers have reached out to international bands, such as Swiss folk-metal band Eluveitie, to build the marathon’s reputation as a global festival.
