Ex-participant of Dresden Dolls and Evelyn Evelyn, Amanda Palmer has revealed a cover of her book ‘The Art Of Asking’, set for release November 11 via Grand Central Publishing. A non-fiction book, inspired by Amanda’s TED talk in 2013, focuses on the idea that ‘asking for help is not easy’.
“We, as 21st century human beings, have an incredibly hard time asking for certain things,” Amanda says. “Something, somehow, has blocked us from feeling like we can turn to one another for help.” — That’s one of the key phrases permeating the entire book. Should be a fascinating reading.
The release of the book will be followed by a big book-signing tour all over U.S., with dates announced soon. Pre-order of the book is available through Amanda’s official website.
You can also see some behind-the-scenes photos (NSFW, of course) from the book’s cover shoot on Palmer’s blog.
