Capital Cities are still out supporting their highly successful debut album, In a Tidal Wave of Mystery. They’ll be touring this fall and have just announced that they’ve added a Philly stop to the list list! They’ll be headed to our area on October 26th with a performance at the Electric Factory. Grab tickets now to see the duo when they arrive this fall.
Ryan Merchant and Sebu Simonian joined forces in 2008. They released their debut EP a few years later, in 2011. Their lead single “Safe and Sound” became hugely popular and propelled them to the top of the charts. It was featured on a variety of commercials and peaked at number 1 on the US Alternative Songs Chart.
Joining Capital Cities at their Electric Factory performance will be Night Terrors of 1927, a band formed by The Honorary Title’s Jarrod Gorbel in 2012. In addition to Gorbel, the band also consists of Blake Sennett, the lead guitarist from Rilo Kiley. Last November, they released their debut EP, Guilty Pleas. In discussing their debut album, Blake Sennett said, “I feel like this is the project of my life. I’ve never worked this hard on a project and I’ve never cared more.”
