Nu metal band Alien Ant Farm formed in Riverside, California in 1995. Originally the band comprised of Dryden Mitchell (vocalist), Terry Corso (guitarist), Tye Zamora (bassist), and Mike Cosgrove (drummer). In 1996 they released their EP Singles: $100. Two years later they released Love Songs EP. The following year Greatest Hits came out. They signed to DreamWorks SKG in 2000. They released Anthology that same year. In 2001 the band released a their now well known cover of the song “Smooth Criminal” by Michael Jackson. In 2003 the band released Truant. Corso left the band and was replaced by Joe Hill.
Due to complications with their label their next record, now referred to 3rd Draft, was never released, but some bootleg copies eventually surfaced. In 2006 the band’s next album, Up in the Attic, was came out. Zamora left the band shortly thereafter. Alex Barreto replaced him. Zamora rejoined in 2008 along with Corso. In 2009 Alien Ant Farm: Live In Germany, the band’s first live album, was released. In 2013 the band announced work on their next album Always and Forever. Zamora again left the band in 2014. Tim Peugh replaced him. Michael Anaya also joined the band, as support for their most recent tour.
