The U.K. indie rockers release a much more laid back follow-up to their last video and announce a series of tour dates.
alt -J’s last video offering, “Hunger of the Pine” was a journey, and even a little trippy. The clip for the band’s latest track, “Left Hand Free,” has a decidedly warmer vibe to it that proclaims “It’s summer!”
With a little over a month to go until “This is All Yours,” the band’s sophomore full-length, hits shelves, anything alt -J tease reinvigorates an already high anticipation for the new album.
The last album, “An Awesome Wave,” received much critical acclaim for its adeptness at turning something inherently electronic into something a little more folksy. “Hunger of the Pine” appeared to continue in that same alt -J vein, but “Left Hand Free,” adopts a much more blues-oriented approach.
“This is All Yours” drops September 24, and the band has announced a string of tour dates. Check them out and watch the new video below.
