Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes Jumped By Security at Lollapalooza

Dev Hynes of Blood Orange says that he was assaulted by security guards at Lollapalooza Music Festival, just hours after he performed onstage.

After Hynes performed at Lollapalooza and gave a speech on racism and police brutality, he says that he and his girlfriend, Samantha Urbani, were assaulted by guards at the festival. At the time of the assault, Hynes was wearing a t-shirt he and Urbani made with the names of victims of police brutality, which he posted a photo of on Twitter earlier in the day.

Since all of this went down, Lollapalooza says they have been in contact with all those involved and the authorities to resolve the situation. Urbani has since said on social media that the guards who assaulted them were privately hired for that stage, not Lollapalooza staff. Hynes also tweeted about some new information:
