The Glitch Mob @ Electric Factory 10/31

Halloween night is quickly shaping up to be an exciting night for music in Philly. And now we’ve got another Halloween show announcement to add to the mix. We already brought you info on the Dum Dum Girls at Union Transfer. Now we’re taking things up a notch with a performance from The Glitch Mob at the Electric Factory. The LA-based trio will bring the EDM to Philly along with special guests The M Machine and Chrome Sparks. Grab tickets now for the ALL AGES show on 10/31!

The Glitch Mob “have undoubtedly found the largest audience of any LA beat scene artist yet.” And you can catch their show this fall! In February of this year, they released their second album, Love Death Immortality. The album has been met with a ton of success thus far. It debuted at number 13 on the Billboard 200. And it debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Songs Chart. The release comes 4 years after their debut album, Drink the Sea, was released. (That album peaked at number 15 on the same chart.)

This fall, the guys behind The Glitch Mob will be taking their show on the road with a tour of North America. They’ll get things started in Texas at the start of October. They’ll make their way through the US and Canada and finish things up a few days after our Philly show. In addition to the fall tour, The Glitch Mob have been playing several festival gigs this summer, including Lollapalooza this weekend. Of their upcoming shows, the trio has offered up this bit of information: “custom-built technology allows the band to trigger samples in real-time and play them like live riffs, infusing their electronic music performance with the energy and drama of a live rock show.” We’re excited to see what they have in store for us on Halloween.
