California avant-garde rock band Mr. Bungle, one of Mike Patton’s strongest soul impulses, has broken the silence since more than a decade. Patton’s Facebook page says ‘Mr. Bungle band authorized vinyl reissues coming in 2015’.
That, alongside announcing ‘some new items in the Mr. Bungle store’, has made a mess among the fans begging a band to reunite and make an album and tour together.
In the beginning of 2013, Mr. Bungle bassist Trevor Dunn has made it clear that the band’s reunion ‘is almost guaranteed to not happen’. He said ‘that band said what we needed to say in the 1990s, and we’ve moved on to other things’, what makes it rather convincing about the band playing together anymore or not, making band’s far away LP’s ‘Disco Volante’ (1995) and ‘California’ (1999) last hit albums.
However, considering Mike Patton’s ‘getting creative‘ with Faith No More and releasing several new songs with them, makes it a little ambiguous what could happen in Patton’s tricky mind since Dunn’s statement. For the fans, that could mean only one – keep awaiting, something beautiful might happen.
