Nick Oliveri has announced that come September he will be releasing a new solo album called Leave Me Alone.
Oliveri not only self-produced the record, he plays every instrument on it. The album does have many guest guitar players, however, including Phil Campbell of Motörhead, Dean Ween, Bruno Fevery of Kyuss Lives!, Marc Diamond and Blag Dahlia of Dwarves.
Oliveri is best known as a bassist with Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss and Dwarves. He also formed his own metal group Mondo Generator in 1997.
He left Queens of the Stone Age in 2004, but recently reunited with them to play on stage in April at a concert in Oregon. Read more about this here.
He also will be performing at Queens of the Stone Age’s special Halloween concert in Los Angeles on October 31 with his new band Uncontrollable. To read more about this, go here.
Oliveri recently joined the band Bl’ast as a bassist and has toured with them this summer. You can read more about this here.
The musician’s first solo record was Demolition Day in 2004 and in 2009 he came out with Death Acoustic.
