Farm Aid Announces 2014 Lineup Including Jack White, Dave Matthews and Willie Nelson

Farm Aid has recently announced its lineup for the 2014 incarnation of the festival, and there are some noteworthy headliners taking part in the festival this year. While still featuring festival regulars like Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp, this year’s Farm Aid will feature a new face not previously seen in a Farm Aid.

The benefit, headed by artists Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Willie Nelson, and Dave Matthews, just recently posted the new lineup for its 2014 itinerary. Appearing at the benefit for the first time will be none other than Jack White, who is taking time out from his recent tour to participate in the concert. Farm Aid, which originally began in 1985, is a huge concert organization that both raises awareness for family owned and operated farms in America and contributes millions of dollars to support struggling family farms. The benefit will be marking its 30th anniversary next year, and has seen many milestone achievements since its inception when such diverse artists such as Eddie Van Halen, Billy Joel, The Beach Boys, and Lou Reed took to the stage for the first concert. The most recent milestone occurred during the 2007 Farm Aid, the first Farm Aid to both occur in New York and be broadcasted in high definition.
