While tickets to both nights of the festival are currently sold out, tickets to the iHeartRadio Village are still available, so get ’em while they’re hot. New “Rising Star” group Before You Exit will be appearing on the first night.
The festival enters its third year this September, and has played host to a wide variety of musical artists over the years, ranging from the classic (Elton John, Paul McCartney) to the contemporary (Lady Gaga, 30 Seconds to Mars). Interestingly enough, whether due to pure insanity or coincidence, Taylor Swift and 80’s metal group Motley Crue will both be performing on the same day of the festival, however this year’s festival will not just feature well-known recording artists of the past and present. Also performing on the first day of the festival will be the up and coming Orlando-based group Before You Exit, this year’s winners of Macy’s iHeart Radio Rising Star Competition. Rising Star is a musical competition a la American Idol, sponsored by Macy’s Department Stores, that gives new young musical talents to perform alongside headliners at the festival.
