The Dismemberment Plan are headed back to Philly! They’ll be playing at First Unitarian Church in November. Still out supporting their latest release, the guys will be here on 11/7. They were in Philly a year before when they performed at Union Transfer. If you missed that show, or want to relive the excitement, be sure to grab your tickets to see them when this fall.
Founded in 1993 in Washington DC, The Dismemberment Plan has been at it for quite some time now. They released their debut album, !, in 1995. They would go on to release 4 albums in total before they disbanded in 2003. But early in 2011, The Dismemberment Plan reunited and began touring much of the US and Japan. They also released a live album. Then, in October of last year, they finally released their comeback album, Uncanney Valley, which they are continuing to support with this upcoming tour.
The Dismemberment Plan will be joined by Priests, another band hailing from DC. They band, which formed in 2012, have released 4 EPs thus far. Their first three EPs were self-released, but their most recent effort, Bodies and Control and Money and Power, was released via Don Giovanni Records. Head to The Church early to catch them when they open the show on 11/7!
