Noah Lennox, known by his stage name Panda Bear, is an experimental musician and founding member of the band Animal Collective. Panda Bears third album, Person Pitch, won best album of 2007 on multiple publications, including Pitchfork media.

Lennox’s debut solo album, Panda Bear, was released in 1999 on Soccer Star Records. He switched focus from touring and recording with Animal Collective, and released his follow up solo album, Young Prayer, in 2004. His highly acclaimed third solo album, Person Pitch, was released in 2007. In an Interview with Má Fama radio, Lennox commented about his lyrical writing style, “I get impatient writing songs, I can’t spend more than a couple of hours before I get frustrated. So I got to kind of spit it out real fast. My favorite songs are the ones where I worked really really fast on, when it comes all out in like two hours or something.”

Panda Bear is set to release the follow up to his 2011 album, Tomboy. The album is titled Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper. It is being produced by Sonic Boom,  and will be out later this year via Domino Records.
