Texas’s alternative country singer Rhett Miller released his first studio album Mythologies in 1989. Over a decade later, he released his second album The Instigator in 2002. His third record, The Believer, came out in 2006. In 2009, he released Rhett Miller. Two years later, Miller released The Interpreter: Live at Largo. The following year he released The Dreamer.
His first music act was Sleep Heroes, an alternative-pop band with Murray Hammond and Benjamin Warrenfells that formed in 1990. Currently, Miller is also part of the alternative country band Old 97’s. The act formed in 1993 and has over a dozen releases. Their most recent, Most Messed Up, is due in 2014. Miller also contributed the song “Girl” to This Bird Has Flown, 40th Anniversary Tribute to the Beatles’ Rubber Soul.
