This September, join Tennis as they take over the stage at Underground Arts. They’ll arrive in Philly for their show featuring openers Pure Bathing Culture on Tuesday, September 30th. Grab your tickets now and catch the husband-and-wife duo when they come to town!
The duo, Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley, started their band after they returned home from a 7 month sailing expedition. They released the Baltimore EP in 2010 and their first album Cape Dory a year later. The album was based off of their experiences on the sailing trip. In 2012, they released their second album, Young & Old with a little help from Patrick Carney (of The Black Keys). And then in 2013 they released the EP Small Sound.
On September 9th, Tennis is expected to release their highly anticipated third studio album. The album, Ritual in Repeat, will be released via Communion Records. In support, Tennis will be heading out on a fall tour of North America. They’ll kick things off on September 18th in St. Louis before heading to Philly on the 30th. In bringing the new album together, Tennis worked in three different cities. They again teamed up with Patrick Carney. But this time they also worked with two other notable producers, Jim Eno (of Spoon) and Richard Shift (of The Shins). The duo has released a track, “Never Work For Free,” from the album which you can check out here. Most recently, Tennis was in the area providing support for Haim’s sold out tour. Catch them when they arrive at Underground Arts on September 30th!
