At a recent stop before the Glastonbury Festival, Jack White played a classic of his own and covered hits by others. He was joined onstage by members of the Kills in a live performance featuring older and newer songs.
According to a recent article on Stereogum, Jack White played a few of his own songs (“Fell in Love with A Girl”) and covered hits by other artists, notably the Stooges’ “I Wanna Be Your Dog” and also Beck’s “Where It’s At.” The show comes after the success of White’s Lazaretto, an album inspired by a re-discovered collection of early writings by White.
The Kills opened for White, and Alison Mosshart joined him onstage to sing “Love Interruption” from Blunderbuss and again later on for a cover of “Goodnight Irene.” Check out videos of the performance below of your viewing pleasure.
