This past March, MØ wowed the crowd at her sold-out Johnny Brenda’s show. For those of you who missed out, fear not, because the Danish singer will be back in Philly this September. And this time she’s taking her act to a bigger stage, performing at Union Transfer on September 26th! Grab your tickets now – this one will not disappoint!
A performance from MØ, aka Karen Marie Ørsted, is guaranteed to be high energy, and maybe even high impact. At her Johnny Brenda’s show, audience members in the front found themselves up close and personal with the singer on several occasions as she knelt down in front of them, and even jumped down to join them. The biggest crowd pleasers were definitely her Diplo-produced track “XXX 88” and her ode to the Spice Girls “Say You’ll Be There.” The passion she feels for her craft is clearly evident in her dance moves. It’s hard to tell what’s more impressive, that or the way she belts out every song, holding the audience’s attention from the moment she steps on the stage. The small intimate setting of Johnny Brenda’s was perfect for her, so it will be interesting to see how MØ transitions to the bigger Union Transfer stage this September.
MØ is currently out supporting her debut LP, No Mythologies to Follow, which dropped in March. There seems to be no slowing her down, as she announced her fall tour of North America fresh off the heals of her recent spring tour. The 14-city jaunt will kick off in late September in DC, and finish up in Canada towards the end of October. Don’t miss your chance to see this rising talent when she hits the stage at Union Transfer on 9/26!
