Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum selling, recording artists Drake and Lil Wayne, announced a co-headlining U.S. tour. The two world star rappers will take the stage across over 30 cities for the Drake vs Lil Wayne Tour. Lil Wayne is set to release two new albums later this year, and is embarking on one of the highest anticipated hip hop tours with Drake, who has achieved an extensive list of Billboard hits since his first hit single “Best I Ever Had” in 2009.

Drake has sold over five million albums worldwide, and has earned a Grammy Award, three Juno Awards, six BET Awards, and has placed several Billboard records. He has achieved twelve number-one singles, and holds the record for more than any other artist on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Ten of the singles have made the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, passing up Jay-Z. Drake is one of two artists (the other being 50 Cent) that has simultaneously occupied the chart’s top three positions.

Lil Wayne’s solo debut studio album, The Block Is Hot, was released in 1999, and was certified platinum by the RIAA. His high peak of popularity came with the release of his fourth album, The Carter. The leading single off of the album was “Go D.J.” Wayne went on to release two more albums as follow ups to The Carter, titled, The Carter II and The Carter III. The Carter III was Wayne’s sixth album, and became his most successful album to date. It’s first week of sales sold over one million copies in the United States alone. The album included his number one single “Lollipop,” as well as “A Milli” and “Got Money.” The album also received a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
