Bastille is an English rock band that formed in 2010. They began as a solo project by singer-songwriter Dan Smith who later decided to form the band. The band consists of lead singer Dan Smith, Chris Wood, William Farquharson and Kyle Simmons. Bastille was nominated for four Birt Awards at the 2014 ceremony, including British Breakthrough Act, British Group, British Single of the Year, and British Album of the Year, winning the British Breakthrough Act title. Bastille has sold over two million records in the UK alone.
