Post-punk legends Wire are planning a re-issue of Document and Eyewitness for this summer. The release will feature enhanced audio recordings of three separate live performances by the group.
The news of a Document and Eyewitness re-issue comes just after Wire’s release of a new song, titled “Blogging“. The re-issued double album will feature recordings of three live performances, at Pavilion Montreux, Notre Dame Hall, and the Electric Ballroom, and the record will be released on the Pink Flag label.
Tracks one through 12 are from the Electric Ballroom performance, tracks 13 through 19 were recorded at Notre Dame Hall. Track 20 from Montreux, and tracks 21 and 22 come the from “Our Swimmer” single release. Tracks tracks 23 and 24 come from an unreleased 1981 single.
