California’s Hellogoodbye started as a recording project between Forrest Kline and Jesse Kurvink when the two were in high school together in 2001. During this time the band recorded “Bonnie Taylor Shakedown 2K1”, which would appear on their debut EP Hellogoodbye, and played local shows in southern California. In 2003 after some line-up changes, they signed to Drive-Thru Records. Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!, their first full length, was released in 2006. That year the band also played the Vans Warped Tour, Bamboozle and headlined several tours through Europe and Australia. They also played the Reading and Leeds Festivals and the side stage at Give It a Name. The song “Here (In Your Arms)”, from Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!, peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 after a resurgence in 2007 and has since gone platinum. At this time Hellogoodbye was also featured on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Last Call with Carson Daly.
In 2010 they released Would It Kill You? after splitting with Drive-Thru and continuing on their own label, Wasted Summer. In 2012 after more touring and line-up changes, Hellowgoodbye signed to Old Friends Records to re-released the album. The band recorded a live album at a house party entitled “Did It Kill You?” in early 2013 and later that year announced their third album Everything Is Debatable, which came out in October. Currently, Hellogoodbye consists of Forrest Kline (vocals, guitar, ukulele, primary songwriter), Augustine Rampolla (keyboard, guitar, bass, ukulele, percussion), Andrew Richards (guitar, ukulele, mandolin) and Michael Garzon (drums, guitar, vocals, mandolin, ukulele, keyboard).
