This years Float Fest will feature bands including headliners Grouplove, Portugal. The Man, STRFKR, Bun B, Wild Child, RUN DMT, Zeale, Whiskey Shivers, Ishi, Roger Sellers, Henry + The Invisibles, and many more. The festival combines two of the best summer activities available: river tubing and live music!

The Festival has been in the works for about two years. The festival organizer, Marcus Federman, states that the festivals goal is to turn it into a “San Marcos signature event.” Federman further states that,
“We want to be on the national festival landscape where we’re bringing in large numbers of people from out of state. Obviously we want to get San Marcos behind it. We want to pass that tradition on to people who aren’t from Texas, because about half the people who go to music festivals aren’t even from the state the festival happens in.”
The San Marcos River has multiple floating companies to chose from, including sponsors Don’s Fish Camp, and Cool River Ranch. Shuttles will be available to take people to the festival groups from the two named locations. To get a taste of this years festival, watch the promotional video below.
