Fitz and The Tantrums are an American soul/indie pop band from Los Angeles that formed in 2008. Their debut studio album, Pickin’ Up the Pieces, was released in August in 2010. The album received critical acclaim and reached number one on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. They were labeled as “the band to watch” in 2011 by the Rolling Stone.
They group is currently signed to Elektra Records. The band consists of Michael Fitzpatrick (lead vocals and keyboards), Noelle Scaggs (vocals and percussion), James King (saxophone, flute, keyboard, percussion and guitar), Joseph Karnes (bass guitar), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards) and John Wicks (drums and percussion).
All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the Waller Creek Conservancy Benefit. The Waller Creek Conservancy will act as the steward of Waller Creek by playing a vital role in the preservation, redevelopment and maintenance of the creek’s surrounding parks, nearby businesses, adjoining neighborhoods and community at large.
