Modern indie music gotcha down? Sick of hearing Mumford and Sons & Associated Clones? Filter’s got the answer for you: a monster of a Summer tour alongside Helmet and Local H.
Founded in 1993 in Cleveland, Filter has come a long way. They’re a far cry from the rough-edged industrial crew responsible for 1994’s molten Short Bus, but the important aspects remain. In short, they can still kick ass. Their most recent album, The Sun Comes Out Tonight showcased both old-school impulses and…well…sensitivity. Hm.
But it’s good to see them back on the trail again. Their long list of Summer dates begin in a couple weeks at Alberta’s Tail Creek Mud and Music Festival and don’t conclude until late August. Joining them are 90’s New York alt-rockers Helmet, and veteran duo Local H. Check below for tickets and full list of concert dates.
