This September, Trampled by Turtles bring their folk tunes to Philly with a stop at Union Transfer. The Wild Animals Tour brings them to our area on September 10th.
The Minnesota band formed in 2003. They’ve become known for the speed of their bluegrass performances, but Trampled by Turtles is aiming to broaden their scope on their latest offering. Their next album, Wild Animals, is due this July and the band has already released the title track. Of the upcoming release, lead vocalist Dave Simonett says, “We all tried to come into this thing extremely open-minded. How can we sound new to ourselves?” See what they came up with when their album drops on July 15th and grab your tickets now to check them out when they had to Philly this September! You can pre-order the album with your ticket purchase and you’ll receive two instant downloads from Wild Animals.
Also performing on September 10th will be Hurray for the Riff Raff. These folk rockers seem to love playing in Philly. They played World Cafe back in April in addition to a Free at Noon slot. They were also in Philly for the Non-COMMvention Showcase back in May. They’ll be here again for the XpoNential Festival towards the end of July. With so many appearances in our area, you have no excuse to have not seen them by the time they head to Union Transfer in September!
