Philly has already proved that they are big fans of the hometown guys, Nothing, selling out their June show in advance. Nothing’s most recent album, Guilty of Everything, is described as “a triumphant and massively loud shoegaze record that is both darkly introspective and completely beautiful.” The album was produced by Jeff Zeigler who has brought you some of your favorite tunes from fellow Philadelphians Kurt Vile and War on Drugs.
Ceremony is not from Philly. They’re from California. But we’re sure the Philly fans will make them feel right at home when they arrive at The Church next month. The punk band announced today that recording for their new album is officially complete. They currently have 4 other albums in distribution, the first dating back to 2006. Zoo, their most recent full-length came out in 2012.
For the openers, we have Iron Lung, who come to us from Seattle. The oldest band on the roster, Iron Lung formed back in 1999. They’ve been steadily making music since then, and just released White Glove Test last year. The final two openers, Bad Side and Anxiety Hammer, both come from Philly. Bad Side evidently hails from West Philly, but little else is known. Anxiety Hammer is comprised of members of Salvation, Society Nurse, Fighting Dogs, and Perfume River.
You can catch ALL of this on July 19th. Grab your tickets now to be a party of this epic night!
