And you thought your dad’s job was cool. We’ll get it out of the way – Spencer Tweedy probably has bragging rights on this one. The 18-year old just happens to be the son of Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, and he’s also got co-starring credit with Jeff on an upcoming album.
Well, not that it was originally meant to go down that way. According to Jeff Tweedy, he originally meant Sukierae to be a one-man venture. However, Spencer got in on the ground floor, working over demo material, and eventually becoming part of the project. And so was born Tweedy, the name the duo plan to perform under.
And new albums mean new tour dates. It’s no different this time around, and Tweedy have plans to hit the road this Summer and Fall. The band’s getting plumped up from duo to quintet, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see the songs to maintain the same guitar/drums focus they were written with.
