Got A Girl, the collaboration between Dan “The Automator” Nakamura and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, has announced its debut album.
The album, which is titled I Love You But I Must Drive Off This Cliff Now, will be released on July 22 via Bulk Recordings. Pre-orders via Amazon and iTunes begin on June 17. The first single from the new record, “Did We Live Too Fast,” is available to stream on SoundCloud, and you can listen below.
The two met while working on “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World,” a movie for which Nakamura contributed to the score and in which Winstead starred. Winstead told Nakamura she was a fan and he later approached her about collaborating. “It was a meeting of the minds,” says Nakamura. “A kindred spirit kind of thing.”
