In 1994 Veruca Salt performed their first lineup. 20 years later and they took the stage again on Conan on May 21, creating a true moment of nostalgia.
Their performance on Conan marks 18 years since the band has played a live gig together. The original members of the band are Gordon, guitarist Louise Post, bassist Steve Lack and drummer Jim Shapiro. The RollingStone reflected on the performance saying, “The band busted out a spry but vicious rendition of their 20-year-old hit “Seether,” the Gibson guitar tones sounding as crunchy and sludgy as ever, and a matured bite coming through on frontwoman Nina Gordon’s vocals”.
In addition to playing their original lineup, the band also entertained the audience by showing off some of their new material. Veruca Salt introduced “The Museum of Broken Relationships”, “Its Holy”, and a new cut of “Seether”. All of these tracks were released as a limited edition 10 inch vinyl on Record Store Day.
