The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (THE GOASTT) Announces Summer 2014 Tour Dates

Sean Lennon’s psych rock band The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, (or THE GOASTT as it’s also known) have announced new summer tour dates with Beck. The band has already started its tour in support of new album Midnight Sun and is also doing shows with Syd Arthur.

We last checked in with THE GOASTT last month, when they released their latest video, for the song, “Animals.”. The band’s latest album premiered later last month. The brainchild of Sean Lennon and his girlfriend, musician Charlotte Kemp Muhl, the band has been around since 2008 and released several successful studio albums. Right now, it’s made up of five members, although the band hinted in a recent press release that a sixth member may be making his or her debut shortly.

Resembling his father a bit in voice and in appearance, Lennon has still created a sound all his own with THE GOASTT. Part folk rock, part psychedelic, part trippy and surreal, the band is known for putting creative, colorful images in its videos and taking an experimental touch with its music. Recently, THE GOASTT also performed on Late Night With Conan O’Brien, where they played one of their latest singles, “Poor Paul Getty.”
