The Black Keys is an American rock duo from Akron, Ohio, that formed in 2001. The duo, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, started out as an independent act recording in basements and self producing their own records. They emerged as one of the most popular garage rock artists during 2010. They are now embarking on a world tour with multiple support acts, including including Cage the Elephant, Jake Bugg and St. Vincent.

Their debut album, The Big Come Up was released in 2002, and earned them a deal with Fat Possum Records. The Black Keys built up their fan base by playing small clubs and festivals. In 2004, they released their third album, Rubber Factory, which lead them to major record deal with Nonesuch Records in 2006.

The Black Keys had their breakthrough in 2012 with Brothers, which included the popular single “Tighten Up.” The single helped the album win three Grammy Awards. In 2011, their follow-up album, El Camino, received strong reviews and peaked number two on the Billboard 200 chart. The album allowed the duo to hit the road for their first arena tour, “El Camino Tour.” The album and its hit single “Lonely Boy” won three Grammy Awards. In May, The Black Keys released their eighth album, Turn Blue, which is the duo’s first number one album in the U.S. and Australia. To announce the “Turn Blue World Tour,” the duo released a video on their YouTube Channel that can be watched below.
