Municipal Waste is a thrash metal band from Richmond, Virginia. Their usual lyrical approach deals with topics including alcoholism, mutants, and trash metal. Their song titles are comedic in the sense that they refer to their genre title. Some song titles include, “Thrashing’s My Business and Business is Good”, “The Thrashin’ of the Christ”, “Thrash? Don’t Mind If I Do” and “Drunk as Shit.”
The band has been musically influenced by DRI, Suicidal Tendencies, Nuclear Assault, and Attitude Adjustment.
