Basement Jaxx will be releasing their first official album in four years on August 26.
The album, entitled Junto, is the band’s seventh studio album and will be released on Atlantic Jaxx/Pias. The first track to be released from Junto is “Unicorn,” with a club-ready beat that has had universal praise. Both “Unicorn” and album track “Mermaid Of Salinas” will be available as instant downloads with every pre-order of the digital album beginning on June 10th.
In the past few years, Basement Jaxx has written two film scores – Attack the Block and The Hooping Life – and produced an orchestral album with the Metropole Orkest. Earlier this year, they played at Ultra Music Festival in Miami and will do tour, including more festival stops, this summer. North American DJ set dates will be announced soon.
