The Dirty Heads is a reggae, hip hop, rock group from Huntington Beach, California. Their debut album, Any Port in a Storm, was released in September 2008 by Executive Music Group. Their sound is similar to bands, including Sublime with Rome, Matisyahu, 311, Kottonmouth Kings, Unwritten Law, and Pepper (supporting act at the August 4 show).

The Dirty Head’s most successful single to date is “Lay Me Down,” featuring vocalist/guitarist Rome Ramirez from Sublime With Rome. The single reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative chart. Billboard’s Connor McKnight wrote, in April 2010, that the song is “solid contender” for song of the summer. Their next single, “Spread Too Thin,” was off of their second studio album Cabin By the Sea. The full album Cabin by the Sea was released in summer of 2012. The group played multiple music festivals during that summer including, Catalpa Music Festival.

The Dirty Heads latest release (2013) was an 11-track acoustic album titled “Home – Phantoms Of Summer.” Their upcoming album, Sound of Change, is set to be released in July 2014 by Five Seven Music. The leading single off of the album is “My Sweet Summer.”
