Gwen Stefani and Pharrell joined funkalicious forces once again for us on NBC’s hit show “The Voice”.
On the upcoming season of the show, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell will have to compete alongside Usher as coaches of the talented contestants. However, on last nights episode, the star studded duo surprised the audience with a live rendition of possibly the most famed of several Pharrell-Stefani collabs: Hollaback Girl. Pharrell also supported the release of his own newalbum, G I R L, by performing “Come Get It Bae”. Check out a great video of the performance below.
If anyone saw Pharrell’s set at Coachella, last nights “Hollaback Girl” performance should come as no surprise; Stefani, who he titled “Queen”, no less, joined the megastar on stage for this track just last month in Indio. Stefani aside, Pharrell’s Coachella set is one that might just go down in history as the most epic group of guests at one time; Tyler Creator came on first with N.E.R.D’s “Lapdance”, followed by Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl”, Nelly’s “Hot In Here”, Snoop Doggs “Drop It Like Its Hot” and “Beautiful”, and Diplo’s “Aerosol Can”. In case you didn’t know, Pharrell has been behind almost every infuriatingly catchy hit this summer from Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” to Robin Thicke’s controversial “Blurred Lines”. I would say look out for this one, but you won’t have to- something Pharrell-touched will land in front of your eyes and ears soon.
