Tickets for the most buzzed about concert of the summer are officially on sale today! Mr. and Mrs. Carter are bringing their On the Run Tour to our area over the 4th of July Weekend. You can catch them in all their glory on July 5th at Citizen’s Bank Park (which seems to be Jay’s new favorite place to perform in Philly).
The tour obviously takes its name from the track “Part II (On the Run)” off of Jay Z’s most recent album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. The song features his famous wife, Beyoncé. The highly anticipated tour kicks off in Miami in June and will hit a ton of stadiums across the US before finishing up on the West Coast in early August. So far, the headliners have met some criticism. Tickets for the show are about 44% more expensive than their respective solo tours just this past year. The average ticket price for their joint tour is roughly $340 on the secondary market. That may seem like a steep price to pay, but fans are eager to catch two of their favorite performers on the same stage and this event is sure to be an epic experience.
Over the years, the talented duo have recorded a ton of songs together, including Beyoncé’s recent hit “Drunk in Love.” They’ve also routinely performed on stage with each other, but this tour marks the first time the powerhouse will be uniting in this way. Act fast! This one will sell out.
