Neon Indian is based out of Denton, Texas. Alan Palomo is the brain child of Neon Indian; he has a very unique and specific electro-mangled sound. Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and SPIN all praised Palomo for his adventurous new sound, and he was tapped to perform at top festivals like South by Southwest, Bonnaroo, and Sasquatch. He also scored opening slots for bands ranging from Massive Attack and The Flaming Lips to Phoenix and Chromeo. His debut album, Psychic Chasms was released in 2009, and received a title for Best New Music, and 14th Best Album by Pitchfork that year. In 2010, The Rolling Stone called Neon Indian one of the hottest new bands.
The Octopus Project is a local indie/electronic band based out of Austin, Texas! The group has been active since 1999, and has developed a unique sound blending pop and experimental elements. Their music is mostly instrumental and utilizes the drum machine, keyboard, synthesizers and other electronic sounds.
