Har Mar Superstar @ Boot & Saddle July 16, 23 & 30

Har Mar Superstar was one of the first acts to perform at the newly reopened Boot & Saddle last October. Now, he’ll be heading back to Boot & Saddle this summer for an exciting 3 week residency. Har Mar Superstar will be rocking the stage for three straight weeks in July starting on the 16th and continuing on the 23rd and the 30th.

Har Mar Superstar is a character created by Sean Tillmann, as “a reaction to boring indie rock and how people were taking themselves way too seriously.” He started performing more R&B oriented songs and began to really find his niche. He says, “It was like a light bulb went off and I went on my way and got more and more aggressive, and the shows became this weird exercise in sexual tension, and I really learned how to play with that fire and make it work for me.”

If you’ve never seen Har Mar Superstar perform, this is definitely an experience you do not want to miss. And the great news is that you have 3 opportunities to check him out this summer! He released his 5th album Bye Bye 17 back in 2013 via Cult Records. Tillmann has long published his more serious music under his other stage name, Sean Na Na. The outrageous personality of Har Mar Superstar has typically been reserved for just that. But with his recent album, we see Sean Tillmann/Sean Na Na/Har Mar Superstar melding all of those personalities into one. He says, “Har Mar Superstar…used to be my excuse to get away with the more fantastic things in life. I guess the confidence I got from being Har Mar Superstar translated into my real life, so now we’re one and the same.” Check out all of his many personas this July at Boot & Saddle!
