Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan wrote a blog post updating the status of the band’s forthcoming album, Monuments to an Elegy, including a tentative track listing for the record.
The band went into the studio in March to record two albums for their new label, BMG. Though Corgan’s blog post suggests that they have almost wrapped on the first of these albums, Monuments to an Elegy, both that one and the other, Day for Night, are both going to be released in 2015.
The band will be reissuing 1998’s Adore, most likely this summer, with three discs of unreleased music as part of the box set. Howard Willing worked with the band on Adore and has also been in the studio with them for their most recent recordings. Billy Corgan has also been up to plenty on his own, including an eight-hour live interpretation of Siddhartha and a performance inspired by Rumi the Sufi mystic.
