British superstar, Ed Sheeran, is headed to Philly this September! He’ll make his way to the Wells Fargo Center on September 8th as part of his upcoming North American tour. Sheeran spent most of last year touring with his friend Taylor Swift, so fans are very excited for Sheeran to finally headline a huge tour of his own.
At only 23, Ed Sheeran has quickly become an international sensation. The singer-songwriter began recording music back in 2005, releasing his first EP The Orange Room EP the same year. In 2009 alone he performed 312 gigs. He says that he had read an interview in which James Morrison said he had performed 200 gigs in a year, and Sheeran wanted to surpass that figure. Ed Sheeran’s debut studio album was released in 2011. The album, +, debuted at the top of the UK Albums Chart and peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200.
