Coachella 2014: A Look Back in Photos.

This is the first year I’ve had the pleasure of photographing (or even going to) Coachella. Working the festival is far from the same experience as attending as a normal festival goer; I ended the weekend in the middle of Arcade Fire’s audience and as I was bouncing around and screaming out lyrics with the rest of the crowd. I looked around and thought, “So this is what everyone else’s weekend was like!” I love my job though, and I wouldn’t have traded my unique experience as a photographer for the more laid back experience of an attendee for anything. I got to hang out with Gareth Emery, the guys from Surfer Blood and White Lies, and Jenn and Andy from Wye Oak while they took time out for mini photo sessions with me. I also got to be practically onstage for some amazing acts like The Pixies, Muse, Bryan Ferry, Afghan Whigs, Lorde, Haim, and Outkast (although they were in a box the entirety of our allotted shooting time). If you got to be at Coachella 2014 I hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did and whether you made it out to Indio or not, I hope you enjoy the images below!
