Little Hurricane is a rock/blues band from San Diego. Their musical influences include Van Morrison, Dead Weather, Gorillaz, The Beatles, Paul Simon, James Taylor and more. Anthony Catalano (front man) and Celeste Spina (drums) formed the duo in 2010.

Little Hurricane’s blues influence comes from Santa Cruz, where Anthony absorbed the musical scene. For Celeste, the blues heart comes from Chicago, where she created her first beats. Both members found common interest in their music tastes, and also other unique and vintage music equipment. After meeting, the two coincidentally discovered they were both living on 30th Street in North Park, San Diego.

After a year of working on music together, the two released their debut album HomewreckerRolling Stone stated that the “San Diego blues duo [is] set to break out.” Little Hurricane has played at large music festivals including Lollapalooza and SXSW. Scott Riggs of Slacker commented on the band’s album and live performances, “Gritty, edgy and downright soul-shaking, Little Hurricane delivers on the album and at their live shows.”
