Wildcat! Wildcat! @ Boot & Saddle 8/9

This summer, Wildcat! Wildcat! will hit the stage at Boot & Saddle. Catch the synth-pop trio when they make their way to Philly on August 9th. Their North American tour runs through much of August, and they’ll be making a few festival stops along the way.

Officially forming in 2012, Wildcat! Wildcat! is comprised of Jesse Taylor, Michael Wilson, and Jesse Carmichael, who played in various incarnations before forming the band. But the three men have known each other for much longer, having been friends since middle school. Since officially joining forces, Wildcat! Wildcat! has been busy gaining buzz, touring with notable acts like Alt-J and Portugal. The Man. The trio is currently working on their first full-length album. As of late March, all of the tracks have been written, and now they’re just working on recording everything. In the meantime, Wildcat! Wildcat! has a self-titled EP that you should be sure to download. Or you can stream all of the tracks on the band’s Soundcloud. Their track, Mr. Quiche, in particular is perfect for a warm summer day.

The night of the show, be sure to get there early to see opener Marley Carroll. At just 17, Carroll became the youngest musician ever to receive the title of Best Scratch DJ in his home state, North Carolina. Now at the age of 28, Carroll is considered by his peers to be “the producer’s producer.” In 2013, he released Sings, a full-length LP that combines his instrumental talents with his songwriting skills. His track “The Hunter” was described as a “silvery and warm tune.” You can stream the song here. Join both Wildcat! Wildcat! and Marley Carroll at Boot & Saddle on August 9th!
