The newborn star has released images to go with her latest single “I Blame Myself’: a 90’s pop-ish song with all the attitude and power the singer can deliver. It gets beautifully represented through the lens of Grant Singer, and is a production that’s worthwhile to watch.
Ferreira’s late December release Night Time, My Time was one of the most praised debuts of recent times. Rolling Stone, Stereogum, Pitchfork, The NY Times… everyone has been talking about Ferreira’s incredible ability to merge a punky attitude, heavy guitars, 90’s pop and modern melodies. Her talent has just earned her the world and now, just after wrapping up a North American Your as opening act for Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz tour, she unveils visuals for her latest single. The 21 year old star is preparing herself for festival season including Firefly Music Festival and Free Press Summer Festival
Recorded in Compton, Los Angeles, it depicts the singer in a trashy low-life scenario that resemble those lonely streets in Nicolas Winding’s Drive, not much aside from singing/dancing happens, but still, production on this one is so good it’s still worth your time.
