They rocked the stage at Coachella and they’re not even taking a few days off. Arcade Fire has announced that they’ll be playing a surprise show at the Roxy in Los Angeles on Monday night, and they’ve chosen an interesting way to give away tickets to the performance.
The band had already announced plans to play two major arena shows in L.A. at the end of the summer. But now, they say they’re playing a very small, intimate show for a select group of fans at the famous venue. On the band’s Facebook page, Arcade Fire says they’re giving away 30 pairs of tickets. Fans were able to score the coveted seats by uploading their best “Reflektor” photos onto the band’s Facebook wall or Instagram gallery.
Lots of fans are going to miss out on the Roxy show, but Arcade Fire will be playing The Forum on August 1st and 2nd. Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 25th and prices are supposed to run between $30 and $70, plus ticket fees. Arcade Fire has been tour all around the country this year and will continue to hit the festival circuit this summer in support of their hit 2013 album Reflektor.
