7Seconds Announces New Album Leave a Light On For May 2014 Release

Hardcore band 7Seconds is putting out its first album in nine years. Next month’s Leave a Light On will be released through Rise Records, and comes along with news of a brand new single and a new tour.

The four member band has been around since 1980, when it emerged as one of the bands from the first wave of Cali punk, so it’s been a long and impressive run for the group. 7Seconds’ 15th full studio album is also a product of collaboration with Steve Kravac, known for working with Blink-182 and Less Than Jake, among other successful bands. Frontman Kevin Seconds says the band has been around for awhile, but realized they still had more to release.

“We’re clearly not a young, shiny, pretty group of dudes trying to set the world on fire any more but we’re also not stagnant, indifferent or settled and we still have loads of heart and energy that we feel the need to share with whomever is listening.”

Listen to “I Have Faith in You,” the band’s first single off of Leave a Light On, below.
