Los Angelinas HAIM performed for the first time at Coachella Music and Arts Festival this weekend in their home state.
The sisters eight song set was nothing short of triumphant as they played their first ever Coachella; they even claimed to climb the gates of festival in the past. The three HAIM girls have garnered an impressive acclaim since their first EP in 2013, Days Are Gone, collaborating with the likes of Major Lazor, Julian Casablanca, and Kid Cudi, and topping the charts for most of 2013. They also have nothing short of 10 nominations for the NME, BBC, BRIT, and MTV awards under their belt since then, four of which they won.
Their set included hits off the album such as “Don’t Save Me”, “Forever”, and “The Wire”. The sisters delighted the crowd midway through with a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Oh Well”, a nod to their frequent comparison to the legendary classic r&b band. After two years of touring the world, from Glastonbury to SXSW, the rookies of the year have come full circle to playing miles from where they grew up, and their performance (watch below!) reflects this perfectly.
