WATCH: Chromeo Performs Live at Coachella

Electro-funk duo Chromeo won over audiences hearts (and their feet) this weekend at their Coachella Festival performance.

The Canadian pair wowed the audience of the main stage, turning the crowd into a raving, dancing, pulsing mob that just really wanted to have a good time. Fanciful as ever, the stage featured all kinds of bits and bobs (including a piano stand that looked like legs) while the two performers sported sunglasses and a lot of black. Chromeo then went on to bless listeners with an eleven song setlist, which mixed material from Fancy Footwork (2007) with their upcoming LP White Women. After their intro, the duo kicked off their set with the lead single, “Night by Night”, finishing off with their 2001 track “Needy Girl”. Better yet, Chaz Bundick of Toro y Moi appeared as a surprise guest for their performance of “Come Alive”. It was just impossible not to dance.

Formed in Montreal in 2004, Chromeo have been reaching well deserved notoriety in the last couple of years, and their upcoming LP is highly anticipated. They also announced that White Women, arriving May 12th, will feature appearances from Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, Pat Mahoney of LCD Soundsystem, and Solange. Keep your eyes an ears peeled!
